Für das erste NRF-Manöver, “ Steadfast Jaguar ”, bei dem die “ Rückeroberung ” einer Insel vor der ölreichen Küste Westafrikas geprobt wurde, stellte die DF-Brigade 1.200 der insgesamt 6.500 Soldaten.
2006 / 2007 stellte die Deutsch-Französische Brigade dann den Kern der Landstreitkräfte der NATO Response Force und im Januar 2009 rückten Teile der Brigade erneut in den Kosovo aus.
