Moon Hyun-Sung, from South Korea, began his cinematic career in 2007 as a script supervisor, later taking on the role of assistant director.
He owes his directing debut , the phenomenally successful As One , to the fact he was chosen to replace colleague Kim Ji-Woon ( A Bittersweet Life , 2005 , The Good , the Bad and the Weird , 2008 ) , who had been toying with this project since 1991 .
