Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Gruppe von Kopfschmerzerkrankungen im Bereich des Trigeminusnervs, die einen attackenartigen, einseitigen Charakter aufweisen mit zusätzlichen autonomen und parasympathischen Symptomen im Kopfbereich wie z.B. Augentränen, laufende oder verstopfte Nase.
Hierzu zählen der episodische und chronische Cluster-Kopfschmerz (weiter oben bereits ausführlich beschrieben), die episodische und chronische paroxysmale Hemikranie, sowie das SUNCT-Syndrom (Short-lasting unilateral neuralgiform headache with conjunctival injection and tearing)
