Es gilt als sicher, daß Mikrofilamente an der Protoplasmaströmung in den Internodialzellen der Armleuchteralgen Chara und Nitella, an der Chloroplastendrehung von Mougeotia, der Chloroplastenbewegung von Vallisneria, vielleicht auch beim Auswachsen von Pollenschläuchen und der Kernwanderung von Acetabularia beteiligt sind.
