Ganzjährige Durchnässung durch ständig austretendes, relativ sauerstoffreiches Grundwasser und eine späte Mahd pro Jahr prägen die Artenzusammensetzung der Nasswiese, die sich spontan im Quellbereich des Kayenmühlengrabens eingestellt hat.
Im Mai / Juni wird der Aspekt bestimmt durch große Bestände des Breitblättrigen Knabenkrauts ( Dactylorhiza majalis ) und des Fieberklees ( Menyanthes trifoliata ).

Year-round soaking from constantly flowing oxygen-rich groundwater and one mowing per year determine the species composition of the wet meadow, which spontaneously cropped up in a source area of the Kayenmühlengraben brook.
In May and June, large populations of the western marsh orchid ( Dactylorhiza majalis ) and the buckbean ( Menyanthes trifoliata ) determine the aspect of this habitat.
