Des Rätsels Lösung könnte der an sich so vorteilhafte 120Hz-Modus sein: beim genauen Blick auf die Helligkeitsverläufe unter dem Oszilloskop zeigt sich, dass jedes Bild bei 60 Hz in zwei Schritten aufgebaut wird.
Intern arbeitet der Bildschirm scheinbar nur noch mit 120 Hz, die ( bislang noch ) normalen 60Hz werden in einer Art Kompatibilitätsmodus verarbeitet.
