Stefan Belda studierte nach einer Ausbildung zum Bankkaufmann von 2002 bis 2008 Philosophie, Musikwissenschaft und Psychologie in Gießen und London und promoviert seit 2009 am Forschungszentrum Populäre Musik der Humboldt-Universität Berlin mit einer Dissertation über den Bedeutungswandel physischer Tonträgerformate sowie deren Wert und Funktionen in einer Informations- und Netzwerkgesellschaft.
Neben seinen akademischen Tätigkeiten ist Stefan seit 2006 Promotion- und A&R-Manager sowie Label-Management-Assistenz bei Prophecy Productions.
