Sie unterstützten Smart Cities, z. Rechenzentren sind energieintensiv, und sollten daher im größtmöglichen Ausmaß erneuerbare Energiequellen nutzen.
Das Ziel des DC4Cities-Projekts ist es, sämtliche Arten von alten und neuen Rechenzentren energieadaptiv zu machen, ohne dabei Änderungen an der Logistik oder Qualitätseinschränkungen an den Nutzerdienstleistungen zu bedingen.

The goal of the project DC4Cities is to make all types of existing and new data centres energy adaptive, without requiring any modification to their logistical processes or infrastructure and without impacting on the quality of services provided to their users.
