Das Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, herauszufinden, unter welchen Rand- und Systembedingungen eines Klima-Boden-Pflanze-Systems die durch das komplexe hydrologische Modell ( basierend auf der Richardsgleichung ) beschriebene aktuelle Evapotranspiration und Grundwasserneubildung durch ein einfaches bucket-filling-Modell approximiert werden können.
Für diesen Zweck wurden sowohl für die aktuelle Evapotranspiration als auch die Grundwasserneubildung drei einfache bucket-filling-Modelle entwickelt.
Als prozessbasiertes Modell wurde HYDRUS-1D verwendet.

Hydrus1D, presenting the complex model is chosen to construct a virtual environment varying in soil and plant type and is used to generate synthetic data.

Für alle zehn Datensätze konnten die bucket-filling-Modelle die einfache als auch kumulative aktuelle Evapotranspiration über das Jahr wiedergeben.
Zwei der Modelle lieferten sogar identische Ergebnisse für die aktuelle Evapotranspiration während der regenreichen Phase im mediterrane Klimaszenario für einen Weizenbestand auf Lehm.

For all ten locations the bucket models predicting the actual evapotranspiration can reproduce the fluxes as well as the cumulative fluxes for the whole year.
Two of the evaporation models even predict identical results for a wheat location with loam and mediterranean climate during the rainy phase.
