www.viennale.atDas Medium Film wird im Zuge der Digitalisierung und technischen Vereinfachung von vielen Künstlern genutzt und ist als eigenständige künstlerische Form sowie als Teil multimedialer Installationen zentraler Bestandteil zeitgenössischer Kunst.
Anstatt die Arbeiten als Objekte im Ausstellungsraum zu präsentieren , richtet „ Double Feature “ den Fokus einzig auf die Leinwand und erzeugt eine dem Kino ähnliche Aufführungssituation .
Im Jahr 2014 erwarten das Publikum Beiträge von Keren Cytter, Mathilde ter Heijne, Neil Beloufa, James Richards, Ed Atkins, Bertille Bak, Eija-Liisa Athila, Ulla von Brandenburg, Mohamed Bourouissa, Bjørn Melhus sowie Luke Fowler.
