Ebenso werden Untersuchungen durchgeführt, die eine Unterscheidung zwischen Schwindel zentralen oder peripheren Ursprungs erlauben, z.B. Drehschwindel, Schwankschwindel oder Schwindel vertebragenen Ursprungs (von der Wirbelsäule ausgehend).
