Die ersten daraus entstandenen Werke sind Installationen aus Klebestreifen, Plastikfolien und anderen Kunststoffen, die rasterförmig am Boden angebracht wurden;
eine dieser Installationen wird anlässlich der Retrospektive in der Generali Foundation rekonstruiert.

foundation.generali.atDa das Mauerwerk eine ausreichende Porosität aufwies, war es möglich, den Abdichtungsschleier innerhalb des Bauteilgefüges auszubilden, statt im angrenzenden Erdreich, zumal dessen Struktur und Beschaffenheit unbekannt war.
Die Wände mussten so auch nicht mehr vollständig durchbohrt, sondern stattdessen nur zu ca. 2/3 der Wandstärke rasterförmig angebohrt werden.
Dadurch wurde der erforderliche Zeitaufwand für das Einbringen der ca. 4.000 Bohrlöcher deutlich reduziert.

In this way it was not necessary to drill completely through the walls, but it was possible to make drill holes up to about 2/3 of the wall thickness in the form of a grid.
This considerably reduced the time required to make the approximately 4,000 drill holes.
