Das musikwissenschaftliche Forschungsprojekt B5 widmet sich der politischen Funktionalisierung religiöser Musik im diachronen Vergleich vom 18. bis 20. Jahrhundert am Beispiel der Gattung Oratorium – und untersucht damit eine Gattung, die zu den am wenigsten erforschten in der Musikgeschichte zählt.
