Nobody denies that DNA profiling is at the very cutting edge of science, but, when corners are cut, those colourful little twirls of genetic code suddenly don't look so pretty.
There are plenty of examples of cruft, redundancy, inefficiency and poor design in our genetic code and molecular mechanisms - suggesting that it hasn't been planned (or at least planned well).
